Skilled Woman......SopDet
Sopdet ("skilled woman", also known as Sothis) represented Sirius, the Dog-Star. Sirius was the most important star to ancient Egyptian astronomers because it signalled the approach of the inundation and the beginning of a new year. New year was celebrated with a festival known as "The Coming of Sopdet".
In fact, the "Sothic Rising" only coincided with the solar year once every 1460 years. The Roman emperor Antoninus Pius had a commemorative coin made to mark their coincidence in AD 139. The Sothic Cycle (the periods between the rising of the star) have been used by archaeologists trying to construct a chronology of Ancient Egypt.
Sopdet was the wife of Sahu ("the hidden one"), the constellation Orion, and the mother of Sopdu ("skilled man"), a falcon god who represented the planet Venus. This triad echoed the trio of Osiris, Isis and Horus, but the connections were not always simple. Sopdet became increasingly associated with Isis, who asserts that she is Sopdet (in "the lamentations of Isis and Nephthys" c 400 B.C) and will follow Osiris, the manifestation of Sahu. However, as well as being considered to be the spouse of Orion (Osiris), she is described by the pyramid texts as the daughter of Osiris.
Although Sopdet started out as an agricultural deity, closely associated with the Nile, by the Middle Kingdom she was also considered to be a mother goddess. This probably related to her growing connection with the goddess Isis. This connection was further strengthened by Sopdet´s role in assisting the Pharaoh find his way to the imperishable stars. It may be no coincidence that Sirius disappeared for seventy days every year, and mummification took seventy days.
In the first Dynasty ivory tablets Sopdet was depicted as a reclining cow with a unidentified plant-like emblem (possibly signifying representing the new year) between her horns. However, she was most often depicted as a woman wearing the white crown of Upper Egypt topped by a star or a headdress with two plumes. Less often, she is portrayed as a large dog, and by the Roman period the hybrid goddess Isis-Sopdet was depicted as a woman riding side-saddle on a large dog.
Sopdet was occasionally shown as a male deity. During the Middle Kingdom the male Sopdet was in associated with Horus as one of the gods who held up the four corners of the earth and held Nut (the sky) in place. During the Greek period she was linked to Anubis as Sopdet-Anubis, possibly because of her canine associations.

The Signs and the Kabbala
Age of Aquarius and the Kabbalah:
The holy book of the Zohar says: "All the celestial treasures and the hidden riddles that have not been solved for generations will be discovered in the Age of Aquarius".
There are symbols that reveal hidden knowledge from the forgotten ages, knowledge that the Zohar spoke of and the cabalists hinted at. This knowledge reveals the basic essence of people and nature. The nature of this knowledge is essentially geometric and millions of people all over the world have been drawn to it in the past few years.
"You need to engrave very deeply within your mind and know that there is no reality without the blessed one. He is within every single movement in the world. The nature, (HATEVA in Hebrew) has the same numerological value as the word God (ELOHIM in Hebrew). The blessed one wore the nature clothes inanimate, vegetable, living, speaking"
(Rabbi Nachman from Braslev)
The Kabala says that The Creator and the Nature are the same and brings the same numerological equivalents (in Hebrew), HATEVA=86 and ELOHIM=86. For thousands of years, humans have lived in a state of chaos, hatred, fear, diseases and destruction all of which are caused by duality.
Symbols from the Age of Aquarius
From the time that man ate from the tree of knowledge, he has not been able to see the existence of the ONE that stands behind all things. Some symbols show through geometry and mathematics, the existence of the one creator that exists within everything. The Kabbalah speaks of the Tree of Life, as the key to the entire universe and all the dimensions of creation. In these symbols, one can see the embodiment of the creator in all things.
The cycle of creation is also embodied in the Tree of Life, and the rest of the geometrical patterns that are spread all over the world which give us the cosmic "D.N.A".
The Seed of Life, Flower of Life and Fruit of Life patterns have existed in Judaism for many generations and can be found in ancient synagogues and ancient prayer books; although their significance has been forgotten through the years.

As we enter the Age of Aquarius, forgotten knowledge rises up again showing us the secret of creation. Rabbi Yehuda Alay who was a friend of Rabbi Shimeon Bar Yochai the author of The Zohar said: "When all the nations in the world will accept the Kingdom of God, we also will return to his kingdom as it is written - When God is king over all the earth, on that day God will be One and his name One"
Sacred Geometry and the Age of Aquarius
Sacred Geometry exists beyond religion, belief or nationality. It unites us all in the belief of the One. By understanding the concept of the One, each of us can take control over our own lives and break free of the circle of chaos in the material world, which Judaism calls 'the world of lies'.

Golden Age...Age of Aquarius
What is the Age of Aquarius?
The Age of Aquarius simply means that we are leaving the age of Pisces and entering into the Age of Aquarius. This change in the Age happens every two thousand years - the last one coincided with the arrival of Christ. Alternative medicine, astrology, vegetarianism and other subjects previously considered weird are growing rapidly in popularity, and are all subjects associated with the sign of Aquarius.
These subjects will become more and more commonplace. Astrology and other mystical methods of self understanding will help people to become more in tune with their spiritual selves. People are already beginning to look within for the answers they seek, instead of outwards to money, possessions and other people.
This Golden Age is destined to synthesize all religious regimes and free the minds of ignorance and delusion. Each human being will begin his or her individual journey within, and strive to become the new race of super conscious humans awakening seekers of Truth and the eternal Spirit, healing peoples of many tongues and nations in the process

The Sun...The Magnificent Sun
Have you ever had days that started out gloomy, overcast and gray, only to find your spirit lift as the sun broke through the clouds, bathing the world in its brilliant glow and sharing its warmth?
As I was relaxing, enjoying the warm sun upon my face today I thought about the joy, energy and vitality that sunshine brings.
The same vitality, joy and energy can be found with your inner sun, and knowing how to draw on this energy can help you dispel your own dark clouds caused by mixed emotions and confusion.
The Sun is one of my favorite Tarot cards as it is so positive and joyful, and whenever it appears in my reading it conjures up hope and joy in my heart.

Herbs and The Healer Within
Recently, over the weekend I attended one of the most life changing seminars/workshops that I have experienced in quite some time!! I attended and Herbology workshop conducted by Master Healer Wakili McNiell, Owner and Founder of ZALTI (www.zawadiartsandleadership.org ) at Maat Holistic Wellness Center 3450 Laurel Ft. Maede Road, Suite 200 Laurel Professional Building, Laurel MD 20724. For more information on when there will be an encore of this workshop, stay up to date via Face Book and email mailing list! I was RE-introduced to my own internal power and connection with God's Green Earth and all of the amazing plants and herbs placed here for our survival, regeneration, external and internal healing, balance, harmony and optimal HEALTH....don't forget the bases of EVERY drug used today in Western medicine are plant based and then synthesized for mass production because we all know how impatient our society is the need for instant gratification and in your face temporary fixes we have come rely on.....find opportunities to arm yourself with valuable information that will soon be erased from libraries and public access, pass down the true survival kit to our children and grandchildren, and that is the power of prevention, healthy living and ultimate balance with Mother Earth and our Grand Universe. Check out Wakili's website, she's a true wealth of information and I am privileged to have been up close and personal with the Master Healer herself....very educational and culturally stimulating experience!

Compatibility
Gemini finds the mental stimulation it needs from the other Air signs Libra and Aquarius. But Libra might get exasperated with the flighty Geminian ways. A Gemini-Aries match won't be boring but may not last since these two have short attention spans. Pisces understand the Gemini's changeability, making this a kindred spirit. The equally flexible and intellectually adventurous Sagittarius could also win the Gemini heart.
Cancer feels emotionally understood with the other Water signs Scorpio and Pisces. This holds true as long as the Scorpio is not too secretive and wounding, and the Pisces has balancing elements to give shape to their sense of self. A Cancer-Virgo connection can cause these two to drop their legendary defenses since they know how to reassure each other. Aries and Libra match Cancer’s intensity, but may not be ready for the sensitivity. A Cancer-Capricorn alliance brings Mommy and Daddy together for a serious, loyal family feeling.
Libra veers toward other active minds including Air signs Gemini and Aquarius. But Libra may think Gemini untrustworthy, and Aquarius too rigid in their own views. When a Libra meets the other Cardinal signs Aries, Cancer and Capricorn, they'll be faced with frictions that make them giddy with relationship challenges. For these pairs to work, you'll have to understand the different ways you take charge. There are Libra-Libra pairs in abundance, since both are peacemakers.
Scorpio can merge swimmingly with other Water signs Cancer and Pisces. But Scorpio will need to learn true emotional revelation to win the heart of either of these two sensitive souls. The Scorpio-Taurus match creates a duo with the power to build an empire. The Scorpio-Scorpio couple has to fight (literally) to keep from imploding, but they can work out most things in the bedroom.
Aquarius wants to be loved at a distance, and the other Air signs Gemini and Libra are good prospects. But the rebel Aquarius could balk at Libra's people-pleasing ways, and might find Gemini too all over the place. The Aquarius-Leo match foretells many interesting puzzles to unravel over time. A Virgo or Capricorn can bring the Aquarius down to Earth, but without forcing too much togetherness. True to form, Aquarians will likely surprise everyone with the mate they choose.
Pisces is allowed to remain an enigma with the other Water signs Cancer and Scorpio. The Pisces-Virgo allows the drifter to find a piece of land to settle on, and lifts Virgo up from the mundane to see life from more lofty perspective. A Pisces-Pisces affair could lead to total oneness, but they should make sure they have a separate life, too.
